9 Things you can do to Survive an Economic Depression

January 30th, 2009 by Summit Seeker | Print

This is by no means a definitive list, nor is it entirely serious. I’m just thinking out loud here: What should I do to survive an Economic Depression? I realize, as I create my list, that I’m not well equipped should our entire economic system come collapsing down.

Here are 9 ideas for Surviving a Depression:

1. Develop a taste for Pork & Beans on toast.

2. Convert cash to gold.

3. Stuff cash in mattress.

4. Bury cash in back yard. (I don’t have a backyard)

5. Learn how to start fire without lighter or matches

6. Stockpile vitamins.

7. Learn how to grow vegetables.

8. Learn how to like vegetables.

9. Potable Water. Enough Said.

All that being said, I really like Jacques Sprenger’s more serious take on the subject.
